TITANIA'S SYNDROME: the pursue of a woman for an idealised Man. It may cause inability to create marriage. If it happens, the partner who usually is below the standard of expectations isn't fully accepted. With the time being the woman has the feeling of lost opportunities and blames the current partner for that. The substitute of an ideal partner is often a literary or film hero.
The the literary pattern of this syndrome is Titania, the Elf Queen in ``The Midsummer's Night Dream` by Shakespeare. In an English tradition, she is called The Queen Mab.
Ufffffffff.......... is it really only about women?????????? Smile

In more general meaning it's a kind of lifestyle attitude in which women live in an imaginative world rather than reality which is ruled by wishes and a real partner is superior to that imagined. The difference between these two worlds causes split of personality. The name is connected with Alice- the heroine of Carroll's stories presenting strange behaviour of a little girl.

Don Quixote Syndrome is men's attitude to women in which dreams, idealised expectations lead to the search for an ideal, chaste, perfect woman. A simple, plain, tough girl from the wine-house.
